I am currently embarking upon a dissertation in relation to the role of the media in terms of its ability to educate and make aware the general public. I am interested in peoples opinions an examples, varying in size, from a journalist criticizing a celebrity, to the extreme of the current MMR debate and the role the media has played in this affair. I am interested in the power and also the ethical issues surrounding this. I would like to hear from journalists perspectives as well as the opinions of the general public.
