Hello, I have a snowy mallard male and a white call female. I am wondering if they will breed? If so what kind of ducklings will I get? Thanks Auralee McGary

Hi Auralee, there is a genetics board link on one of The Poultry Connection General Waterfowl Forums link pages. There are also some very knowledgeable people re genetics on that forum. www.poultryconnection.com Yes, all breeds of true dabbling ducks will breed. They are all derived from the mallard and are closely related. Careful of your Call duck, they are so little and mallards are notoriously rough and let's say, very active, during breeding season.
