Help! I need to know of a reputable and reliable Leica repairman/woman in central New York who can test the shutterspeeds, viewfinder etc and give an appraisal of a M-body and lens while I am in NY. I am only in NY for Friday and the weekend. And I need to know the status of the camera and lens before I buy. I'd really appreciate some advice from people you have used before and trust.

Try Tamarkin. They can give a very acurate appraisal and a quick condition check. I'm not sure about tesing shutter speeds or anything more technical than that.
