Rabbit show in YORKTOWN, VA (near Norfolk)greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
Just thought I'd put this one out there. One Saturday, Febuary 16, there is a rabbit show in Yorktown Va. If you are interested in: seeing how shows operate, buying good breeding stock, or just want to have a look at the MANY different breeds of rabbits (fuzzy ones, big ones, small ones, ugly ones), this is a good chance. The show will be held at 7 or so am until about 4 pm. If you want to show rabbits, well, you should already know about this show, but they do accept late enteries for 5 bucks each. This show is whats known as a double open- really two shows in one. Driving directions: (from I 64) take exit 250 B--Ft. Eustis Blvd/ Yorktown. From I 64, drive directly onto Ft Eustis Blvd. From I 64 east mmake a Left onto Jefferson Avenue then an immediate right onto Ft Eustis Blvd. Drive 3.7 miles to the end of Ft Eustis Blvd. Turn Left onto RT 17. Turn at the 2nd stop light onto York Warwick Blvd. Turn Right onto Cockletown and it will take you to the Edgehill Community Center. FROM 17 N: York Warwick Blvd is 4 miles south of the Coleman (York River) Bridge. I didn't make the directions up, so don't get mad at me if you do get lost=) I (Kevin) will be the guy in the camoflage Dodge hat, and will be the one taking home all the awards (wink). Hope to see some of the Countrysiders make an appearance!

Me too, we have a large show March 2 in Dalton, Georgia at the fair grounds. It is the largest show in the Southeast with over 1500 entries. It is a triple with a double youth and a cavy double. The club we belong to is the Northwest Georgia Cavy and Rabbit Club. We have a web site. It is geocities.com/nwgcrc . Let me know what you think. If anyone is interested or have any other questions, email me.
