I've been doing some reaserch for a friend of mine about pygmy goats. We have both learned a lot from you website. I was curious, however, can you please tell me why a shelf or ledge is neccessary for pygmy goat shelters?

It's not that a shelf or ledge is necessary. All goats, Pygmy or dairy like to sleep on elevated surfaces. Pallets work fine. That being said, mine sleep on the floor. :-)
