hand held meters - which, howgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread |
Last week I bought a used Minolta Flashmeter III with 10 degree spot attachment (cool) to replace the one I lost in Salamanca, Spain (on my way back from Russia). My question:My old meter had several switches and the dome bayonnet partially broken; the new one is near perfect. As I only used it for incident metering, I didn't use any of the switches except on/off. Now I am curious with-respect-to the full capabilities of the meter. I don't have a manual. I don't have a studio and/or big flashes, but am curious.
Please, could you Minolta Flashmeter III users tell me the tricks of the trade?

Chris,You could probably get a photocopy of the manual (or even an original) from Old Timer Cameras at: www.oldtimercameras.com

Amazingly , minolta doesn't have any online manuals . However sekonic does , so maybe that could be of some help .

You can download the manual from Minolta's website. I did so the other day.I presume you are talking about the Autometer IIIf?
If so, the url is:

For some reason, it doesn't work right when you paste in Harold's link. Try clicking here and see if you get to the manuals page. And Leonid's answer is completely wrong. Maybe he works for Sekonic...

Are you referring to the Flashmeter III, OR the Autometer IIIF???
