Emultion transfers on regular B&W photo paper?

I had seen somewhere that a photographer had done an emulsion transfer with a B&W silver gelatin print. Interested in this technique I went looking for information on this process, but all I have been able to find was the Polaroid emulsion tranfer process. Is it even posssible with B&W photo paper? Where can i get information to do this technique myself?

This is (kind of) the way a print is mounted on a canvas... by peeling the emulsion off. Pick away at a corner and once you have a seperation, get a medium sized wooden dowel and wrap it around and just roll it off. Work slowly so you don't damage the fragile emulsion. Cheers

This is not a transfer, however, it can give the prints the look. Use Polarid film 55. you will get a positive and a negative. The pull often gives the negative strange effects around the edges. Print full negative including edges. The effect very closely looks as if it had been a transfer. IE. this is a 4 X5 sheet film.
