I haven't seen too many photos here lately so I'll take the risk this time and try for the first time to directly insert this one
for you to comment if you wish (and if it works, of course).

Can't see it. Wait a minute...
That any better?

Uhm. Sorry.I haven't noticed yet why the trick I read in the Administration section didn't work for me. It looks easy enough, doesn't it? I'll try it once morebut if doesn't work either and you still want to see the photo please do it the old way. Thanks for your patience.

I like the overall tone, mood, and compostion of the image, Iván - particularly the shadow of the faucet "reaching" for the cup.

I like it. A lot. Can I buy a print? (Seriously.):-),

Nice work Ivan. You do really well with that 50mm lens. I always enjoy looking at your photographs. Your work always inspires me to keep my kit simple and sharpen my eye. Thanks for sharing. Regards

Ivan,I took the liberty of perusing your public folder on photo.net and I very much like everything I saw. It's amazing just how many bad photographs are posted on this Leica forum, but your work does the Leica justice indeed. I encourage you to keep shooting and sharing your images with us. You are a very talented photographer and I look forward to following your work. How about launching a website of your own to better showcase your images? It would definitely be on my list of bookmarks.

Very cool. Would probably do well as stock in addition to its obvious fine art appeal.

Hey Ivan- Beautiful shot- very nice work. I echo Luke sentiments- it's nice to see a really beautiful photo posted that does justice to the craft, especially after the spate of lame shots I've seen here- not that I can talk, not having ever posted anything here. I'll get a shot up soon, as soon as I figure out this new-fangled technology.Nice shot, Ivan- keep 'em coming!

Strong diagonals, contrast beween light and dark -- I especially like the shadow of the tap -- and a "creamy" look to the picture, enhanced by the warm tonings. Good stuff!

Excellent image Ivan!

IvanSuperb! Well done. Like everyone else says - this has tone, shape and mood.

Hello Ivan-I really like the image. It's a good, strong composition. You have a good eye for the 50mm lens. I've been going through books of Jan Sudek and Andre Kertesz lately. Your composition reminds me of both, particularly Kertesz. I think he picked up his Leica in 1928, no doubt he shot with a 50 too.
I see you use XP2, have you tried Kodak 400CN? I think both are great looking films.
Great work man!

Ivan:I really want to buy a print of this! I emailed you at your poted email address, but it bounced... Please email me offline and let me know how much you'd want for an 11x14 or a 16x20. (not mounted/matted)

Ufff, gentlemen !At first I felt absolutely overwhelmed by your excellent comments. I was very happy because of them and VERY proud about them. Until I showed the photo and your comments to a fellow worker in my office and he said: "And what could they have seen in it . . .?" That brought me back and down to planet Hearth again. Specially because I'm his boss' boss so I understood that his comment was really spontaneous and worth to be taken into account too.
So I finally feel myself able to answer your incredible comments in a cooler mood:
First thing first: THANKS !!
Second, and away from false modesty: I knew (I felt, in reallity) that this was a good photo and that this is good photography as by my standards. So I felt authentically rewarded by your good comments. But they exceeded my expectations, by far, all the same.
Third: Now I'm in real problems. My owm limits of self demand just jumped up considerably higher. So I feel I'll have to work really hard to keep a decent level. But I'll try to do that still enjoying my photographic activities. After all that IS the real advantage of being an amateur, I think.
Still some individual answers:
Luke: Having my own site is in my plans, for sure. But I also have left to learn to do my own lab work first and would also like to get a better scanner; specially one able to scan negatives and slides. I have much more slides than B&W photos and some of them I think could be of interst for some of you, specially those showing parts of Chile like the Atacama desert, Chiloé Island, etc.
Gracias, Patrick ! Nice touch from your part . . .
Yes, Jeff, I shot a 100ft drum of Kodak 400CN last year but couldn't say the difference with Ilford XP2. I think that the quality of the 1- hour lab who develop my pictures is not good enough to allow for differences between the two films to show up. So I continued shooting XP2 because of local price considerations.
Jack: I e-mailed you directly, of course.
And finelly: THANKS to you all once more because of your warm support.
-Iván
