my duck is broody again, what next?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
Subject: my duck is still broody, what nextI wrote a week or so back about my broody duck, after speaking to some folks about getting some fertilised eggs they said its too late in the season as we in the southern hemisphere are heading into autumn ( and have had a very cool summer)and they won't feather up in time, and there are no Indian runner eggs around. So.... the breeder said take the eggs away and let her get on with her life, which I did and she got on with her life ( a pretty good one I at that) for one day then promptly built up her nest in their bedroom and is all hissing and flapping and carrying on again.
