My kero furnace ran dry yeserday, I have refuled, but now it will not ignite, the blower comes on, there is fuel to the bleeder at the top of the pump; it runs about 30 seconds and shuts off, tripping the reset button. Can anybody fix it over the puter?

If you ran it dry you probably pulled alot of gunk from the tank through the lines. Take the nozzle off and clean it out. Run the pump a few seconds without the nozzle to flush the dirt out. Make sure you have the ignitor off before you do that. Good chance the filter at the tank could use replaced, they usually do when you run a tank completely dry. I'd put some tubing like vaccum line tubing on the bleeder screw and run about a gallon into a container to make sure all the air is bled out.

You might need to clean soot off the electric eye also. If you ran the tank dry it probably wasn't burning too clean the last 30 minutes. I've had nozzles that somehow were impossible to clean and the problem only cleared up once I put a new nozzle on.

It actually burns? Probably the eye is sooted up if so, otherwise, as said, it's crap in the line. Might need the new tip and adjusting if it's sooting up for that matter.

Its fixed, it was the bleed thing. Bleed the fuel repeatively until there is no sphifoning back into the line, problem cured.
