Little switch on Schneider 90mm

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

This may be a slightly silly question, so I apologize in advance....

I recently bought a used Schneider Super-Angulon 90mm lens from a local camera store. When I bought it, I noticed a little switch on the lens that could be set to either 'X' or 'M'. The guy who was helping me thought it had something to do with the flash sync, but wasn't totally sure.

Can anyone who has this lens or knows about it enlighten me?

Thanks a lot!

Jason

"M" is for flash bulb synronization with the shutter and "X" is for electronic flash synchronization with the shutter.
