I am trying to convert digital pictures in jpeg format to the mpeg format. I am looking for the software to make this conversion. This will then be used with the cd creator software to produce a slide show to be viewed on a DVD player. Thanks in advance for your help.

There are lots of video DV editing programs that will import .jpg's to be inserted as part of their video to be outputed, which can be saved as .mpg if you wish. If you import nothing but jpg's then you have a slide show that you can output as mpg (or other formats). Most of the low-end (<$100) DV editing programs (e.g ULEAD etc) will do it, but I don't know of any freeware (although there may well be some).

But is u r familiar with linux... then go for the mjpeg tools...

they can do almost anything with jpg files...

I have tried to use ACDSEE 4.0, but unfortunatly i have got guidance that it can not convert digital pictures from jpeg to mpeg. Anyone have a specific tool in mind? thanks for your help.
