Does any one know if there was a govt version of the Summilux 75mm that used the bug eyes? Does anyone have a book that would help me find some info on the lens that had bug eyes? Thanks, Mike

Mike. There certainly was a government version of the 75/1.4 Summilux, since it was originally designed for use by NASA and later sold commercially, when the design was declassified. However, I am unaware of a version with bugeyes. To my knowledge, the only Leitz produced lenses with bugeyes were the 35 mm lenses made for M3 (35/3.5, 2, 1.4), the 50 mm dual range lens, and the 135 mm F/2.8 Elmarit M. I have seen a privately adapted bugeye 21/3.4 Super- Angulon lens on eBay a while back, but this is unofficial.
