Is anyone aware of any good books, teaching videos, etc. relating to piano runs? I am a fairly advanced pianist who enjoys some of the stylistic piano runs that Liberace and others do but have not been able to find anything on the market that is at this leve.

Tons of Runs by Andy Laverne, The Right Hand According to Tatum, Note for Note by Oscar Peterson as well as a limitless supply of transcription's for sale by your favorite jazz artists.Your best bet however is to invest in some inexpensive CD Tempo altering software which will allow you to transcribe solos and runs from the Masters of choice. It is a bit more work but well worth it as books do not teach the phrasing, articulation nor provide the feel of the runs used in actual musical context. This is how all of the great jazz pianist have learned as it is far more practical and accurate than sight reading notes on page. Good luck with your playing.
