Well the vet says there is no third kid, she has mastitis. wonderful. but he said if i had to have it this was the kind to have as it responds to antibiotics. her temp was normal and he gave me some stuff to put up in her tits, and let me tell you, she really likes that. At least i only have to do it once more. This morning she was back to her old self, although she didn't eat very much. a little is better than nothing i suppose. i also put a post up here about a goat who had a lump on her face, we had a vet come and culture it, got the results yesterday. he said it was a common bacteria and that it to will respond to antibiotics. it has been lanced and drained and i hope all will go well there. Thanks for all the advice but i am feeling a bit discouraged with so many illnesses. Thanks again everyone

WHOOPEE! YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!!! Your sick goat is getting better!! (although cranky about the treatment - but that means she's better when she fights you. NOT fighting you is very, very bad!) AND the lump is NOT CL!!! What a thrill! I really hated killing my prize colored and nice conformation doe. She was a weak positive with a lump that I had expressed. What wonderful news! Vet bills are tolerable when they are news that can be dealt with in a positive manner!! What a positive outcome!!! Enjoy!!

So glad to hear that your goat doesn't have CL. What a relief that must be!
