Need home for 3 ducks in ohio

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We are looking for a good home for three, one year old pekin ducks. They are all drakes. All three have been together since birth and get along just fine. They have been on a pond at our city park and now the city says they gotta go. People stop to feed the ducks and that has caused lots of canada geese to take up residence there. The folks who live near the park went to city council an they are in the process of drafting a no feeding law. There are so many bad things going on in the world today that is seems so trivial that people would complain about something as nonviolent as feeding the local wildlife.I live in northwest ohio just south of Toledo and would be glad to deliver these guys to anyone within 100 miles or so. The only thing is that they are not to be killed and they must have a pond. I know that is a lot to ask but we are hopeful that we can find a good home for them. Thanks. JB

Welcome to the New Order, where the stupidity and nonsense of Political Correctness rule and any hint of common sense, tolerance and live and let live are gone forever.

So you're going to end up with a city park with a pond and no ducks -- all because of a gutless bunch of bureaucrats caving in to a small, insignificant clique of busybodies.

Ridiculous. But that's life inside the city limits these days, and exactly why I live waaaaayyy out in the country and the county.

Love to have the ducks but I'm far too far away.

Why don't you see if you can find a sympathetic newspaper or TV reporter around there and get them fired up on a little feature story.

Must be some country folks around Toledo somewhere who would adopt the ducks.
