Pradovit P150 with a more powerful bulb?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread |
Has anyone tried putting a more powerful bulb into this projector? Or would it require a total change of transformer, cooling fan etc? Thanks

Hmn, I don't think I'd like to start a fire with one of those. Maybe stepping up to the next (and massively more expensive) would give you what you want, but I think the 150 will cast you a satisfactory image in a smaller/mid sized room.

YOu can get the P600 IR with the super color plan for about 750 - might be worth it

When I was about 14 years old, I tried putting an 800w projector bulb in a slide projector designed for a 300w bulb. It took about 10 seconds for wisps of smoke to start coming out of the vents.Don't do it. Buy a brighter projector instead.
Funny how odd bits and pieces of one's life experience come in handy unexpectedly ;-)
