You might take a look at Deltainternational, a grey market dealer that has been mentioned from time to time on this thread. I don't have personal experience with them but probably will in the future. On the other hand you may want a Leica US dealer for the passport warranty.

I have had good experiences with Delta International in the past... but with leica, unlike other brands the passport warranty is a significant benefit to buying regular leica USA improted items.

i've just talked to the owner of my local Leica shop yesterday. he said it is more likely that Leica will put out a film scanner in the near future instead of a Digital R, let alone Digital M.
