Check out the ads in Rural Heritage magazine, which is about horse/mule/oxen drawn farming. They are in Tennessee, and I believe they have a website.

all an oxen is is a steer who didnt get killed, just go to the next farm and buy a couple of big boys from them......

or , better yet, go to a dairy farm and buy some good holstien boys, and grow them up, buy 3 or 4 , they are cheap ,around 100.00 each pick the best two for training and the two other ones for the supper plate...you want gentle , trainable oxen , you have to bottle feed them , else they wont be well for working... but you know them things are slow as all get out , dont you ?
