Have Nubian grade bucklings to trade for milking equip orgreenspun.com : LUSENET : barter board : One Thread |
I would also trade for another grade buckling if I can find one that I like. These little guys are out of the heavy old breed of Nubians not the little thin petite ones. They are all really flashy! Their mamas are all heavy milkers and their daddys mama was too. The oldest ones were born 3-16-02. They are bottle babies, except for 2 of them. If you are within 200-300 miles of us we could set up a meeting place. If you want pictures let me know and I will send you some. I am in search of butter churn, milk buckets or totes, honey, hay, I am really pretty open as far as trades go- as long as it can be used or eaten and not just a pretty. :) Thanks-

wish we closer..we are in PA. I remember many years ago our first Nubians we "big" noses and heavey boned. Now, I agree, they are getting dainty in appearance. Good Luck in selling them...I know you won't have any problems !!

Well now that I got the computer working again... I have sold all but 2 of these guys (whew! lol) The 2 that are left are the fastest growers and both are Polled. Their dams are polled, their sire is not. One of them is a red-brown with white spots, the other one is black with brown trimmings, almost white ears and frosted all over. If you need a polled buckling that is flashy to boot, let me know. Susan
