I currently own a Canon 50e and want to know if there are any non canon flashes that I can use that will give me a higher sync speed for my camera(up to 1/4000th). Thanks

All EX flashes will do this job,like 380ex(discontinued),420ex,550ex

Any E-TTL capable flash should be able to do this. That includes all Canon EX series Speedlites and the Metz 54MZ-3 and Sigma EF-500 Super. There may be a few others as well, but they are few. It is reported that Vivitar is soon coming out with an E-TTL capable unit too.
