Hi all I have recently experienced a niggling problem with my m6 where the electronics will not engage upon wind on to the next exposure. This only happens sometimes and usually fixes itself if I fire the shutter and wind on to the following exposure. Is this is problem with the camera, or is the battery nearly dead? (there is no flashing to indicate that the battery is near dead)Thanks

Not a problem that I've had. Why don't you just change the batteries as a quick experiment?

Ive tried a new battery recently, seems ok for the moment, but I havent tried it enough to determine if it is a dud battery or not, and just found out that the passport ran out a few months ago! damn!!

Karl - I had the exact same problem recently with an M6. Sherry Krauter said a piece had become un-soldered in the light meter switch mechanism. It was an easy fix.

Make sure the gold contacts in the back of the camera are clean. Just use a lens brush to brush off the contacts. Sometimes when these contacts get "dirty" the meter behaves erraticaly.
