Finally, a nice daygreenspun.com : LUSENET : A Village Commons : One Thread |
We finally got up to the 6o's today first time in a long while. The last of the snow is going pretty fast, except on the north side of the hills.Supposed to get to 70 later this week. Sounds like spring has finally sprung. Cleaned out the flower beds today, they are ready to grow again. How is it where you are? Been gardening yet?
Talk to you later.

We're in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Most of my garden is still in the seedling room and under the portable greenhouse because of heavy rains. Hope to get my outdoor garden in full tilt next week.

We keep tickling 80. Going to be an off year for bluebonnets. All the artic cold set them back a couple of weeks which lets the grass get ahead. Kind of interesting how wildflowers get taller as the season goes along. Come September its the sunflowers. Also interesting that there was precious little talk about global warming in February and March. There was also precious little warmth.

Paul,I also noticed the lack of talk about global warming lately. But I know we will get more than our fill come summer, we always do.
Talk to you later.

Hello Bob, Have you ever notice that during the winter there is talk of a coming ice age and during the summer there is talk of global warming. But, no one complains during the Spring and the Fall.Good to see this forum back on the active list!
Sincerely,
Ernest

Here in SW Orygun we had a few weeks of unseasonally warm weather, and it got to 60's and 70's quite a bit. That's gone now, with highs in low fifties, with some rain and a bit of snow.I just heard that there's a heat wave in the Midwest; something about 90's in Chicago or some cold place like that?

Mid 80's here in E. Central Illinois today; set a local record yesterday with 87*. Farmers are out breaking soil, some are even planting corn. Asparagus is just coming up here, along with the black and grey morels - no yellow ones yet.
