It's about the streetparade, a streetparty in Zurich, Switzerland, where about 1'000'000 people dance til they drop.

Nice shots. I like the middle, bottom row especially. More info?

Some nice candids. Now that's what I call a street party (is Zurich always like that?)!

OH YEH! Definately middle bottom row. Great shots Mike.

the loveparade was invented in berlin in 1989. a few cities took over the idea whan they realised that techno music means big cash. this photo was taken a few years later, MTV had arrived and with it the masses, the sparkle was gone, but it is still a WILD event to go to, if you can stand a million sweating bodies dancing the day away.

Nicely done images of an obviously interesting event, Michael. For several of the images, however, an extra-extra-large version might be even better. ;-) Overall, I liked the compositional choices you made (balanced graphically, and contributive to the story presented by the shot). The only one I didn't care for was the DJ - a different (more dramatic ?) composition and a more obvious point of focus might have worked better.

Well done Mike. A nie variety of interesting shots. I particularly liked a< href="http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo? photo_id=698751&size=lg">Shakira and a< href="http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo? photo_id=698729&size=lg">Shakira before fameGreat composition and response.

Thanks for your comments. Tim and Brian, which picture do you mean with middle bottom row? My screen shows 4 pics in the top row and only 2 in the bottom row. BTW, this weekend was the very first LoveParade on the American continent in Mexico City. That's why I came up with the idea to share these pictures. Ciao Michael

I'm not sure how "Much better than most recent shots I have seen here.." is a useful critique or even a valid comment, but it's more polite than what I deleted yesterday. If you had said "This is one of your best..." or "This is your absolute worst..." then that would be more meaningful to the photographer.

Tony, why isn't the above a valid comment? I was just stating what I feel abt Michael's pictures in comparison to what I've seen. What's wrong with that?I did not mention names and the exact pics involved, did i? So why are u so defensive and had to delete my post?
The objective of the forum is open to opinions. I think I have changed my stance to fit u several times but u are just not giving way.
Anyway, I think Michael's pics are nice, they tell a story. Some does it for me and some doesn't.
Just lighten up.
