Amen to that. They say that 95% of your future happiness is riding on who you spend the rest of your life with. I am acquiescent of the fact that a good woman can make you and a bad one can break you. Unless your single where your happiness is directly proportional for your need to acquire more... at least in the earlier years. Eventually, we all find salvation sex (whoops, I mean six) feet under.

Fortunately for Mr. Wang, he still has his "happy snaps" which seem to keep the reality monster at bay.

Actually, Kristian I think you're alluding to the possibility that you're in the wrong here. If you're suppose to be saving for marriage and blowing it on what you've pre-defined as "superfluous sundries" your fiancée has every right to be concerned. If this girl is that important to you then keep the lines of communication open and impress on her how important photography is in your life. If she loves you, she'll understand and accept. You'll have to make compromises too... that's a given but harmony in our relationships with others (especially those closest to us) is worth more than any camera system in the world.

Something for me to ponder as well..... one day.

Why get married at all? Just live together in happiness and togetherness! Then with the $$$ you save on not having an expensive wedding, that is over with in one day, you can get all the Leica stuff your heart desires! Or a down payment on a house!I speak from experience....Melissa and I are going on 18 years now and loving it ...just living together.But I guess that is all out the window if the special wedding day is a necessary reality for the two of you.

Kristian; Idon't know if you read my post Re. the lenses that I just purchased from Eric Kragtijk. Anyways I'd just spent $1000 on those two lenses and the only question my current wife asked me was "do you really want them?" While I was waiting for them to arrive I found a 70 to 200 zoom in Vegas for 900. Again her only question was "do you really want it?" If you find an understanding and loving partner hang on tight because they are far and few between. Some sacrafices are well worth it. Best of luck in your upcomming marriage. P.S. I didn't buy the zoom.
