Is it possible to have ( or DIY) the framelines on an M6 removed /disabled/blocked - in I'm never going to use the 75 and 135 frames and they are ( especialy the 75 frame in the 50 finder) a distraction.

It is possible to block *all* the framelines by simply covering the slatted window between the viewfinder and rangefinder, but this will not block selected framelines. To do what you want would require a repair technician. The framelines come in pairs, the 135 with the 35 and 75 with 50. The M2 and M6TTL0.58 both have 35mm frames with no 135; the M2, M4, and M4-2 have 50 frames without the 75. If someone like Sherry or DAG happen to have these frames in stock, and they are interchageable, you might be able to throw some money at your M6 and get the work done. Personally I would never want to get rid of the 75 framelines, as they are perfect for framing the 90mm lens when focused at distances over about 10m.

The "pairs" dont go in as pairs, but as frames on a glass element. They are laminated to the glass, just as two lens elements are laminatted to each other. A mask covers up the frames not seen - and does this in quadruplicate, leaving a pair of frame lines visable. To see this, just slowly cycle the preview on your M.

It MAY be possible to go in and manually opaque some of the frame lines, such that they're "always masked". Talk to Sherry or Don about that.
