Do VC lenses bring up the appropriate frame on the M

A dumb question perhaps, but do the VC screwmount lenses, when used with the converter on a Leica M bring up the appropriate viewfinder frames?

Frame selection is performed by the adapter, so if you have the correct adapter for the focal length, you get the correct frames.

A more expanded version:

M framelines are brought up by one of the four flanges on the bayonet lens mount - which is slightly longer or shorter on 50/75 or 35/135 or 90/28 lenses and presses a little dealie inside the camera flange right next to the frame lever.

Since the VC lenses are screw-mount, they don't have a flange and thus have no effect on the framelines. Whne you buy the M-mount adapter there are three versions - one with a longer "28/90" flange, one with a medium "50/75" flange, and one with a short "35/135" flange.

It's up to you to buy the correct adapter for the framelines you want/ need. The adapters are marked with the focal lengths their flanges provide frames for.

For the 15/21/25 it doesn't matter - since finder framelines aren't available for thos lenses anyway.
