I hope that golden touch doesn't monitor this forum because the camera is going back tomorrow.i got my m/35 back today. the lens is fine, but the body jammed after some cycles. it came back with some unsmooth cyclic (1-1/2 and 3 frames) roughness/notches/resistance in the winding system and finally jammed when i tried to excersize it away thinking to even out the lube.
to her credit she did extra work cleaning up the appearance of the camera, at no charge, by removing some of the brightmarks - how is this done, by some abrasive pen - i want one.
by the way, dag returned my m3 which functions well is not as good cosmetically as what golden touch did - dag reused the screws, gt replaced them with new, for instance.
i still recommend both, but don't expect miracles.

by the way,i'm sending back with the body a diseased 90 tele-elmarit and talking directly at length with her she mentioned the etching is a result of decementing of the rear two elements, "sometime repairable sometimes not worth the effort/expense". however, looking at the korean link provided be andy piper shows that the te has four elements in four groups...draw your own conclusions.
they are going back to her anyway, she apologized profusely.

While I have always heard good things about Golden Touch, I use Focal Point in Colorado. 5 CLA on M cameras and they're still running smooth. I have heard that Sherry does very good work on the older Leicaflexes.

Steve,I'm sure Sherry will make things right. I Just (4.19.02) received my M6 "classic" back from Golden Touch in perfect condition. Anyone can make a mistake. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
Regards,
J.
