House in a box theme (cont.)--present day equivelent!!?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
I stumbled across this site a year or so ago. I've had it sitting in my favorites list since then--for the future when I might actualy consider this to be a viable option. I thought I'd share with y'all after I saw the interest in pre-made houses in the "SEARS House in a Box" post. Enjoy.www.shelterkit.com
And P.S. If you look at the 4th from the bottom pic. in the barnhouses gallery there is a link to a farm with shetland sheep--really a nice site with lots of pics.

There was an article, I think in The Mother Earth News, a couple of years ago about this manufacture. Was portrayed as extremely high quality. 24' x 48" house kit at $28 per square foot. If the quality is really that good, and time and building skill are an important factor, it could be worth the price.

I wonder how much finishing a building like this would cost. I was never really clear on how much of the finishing supplies were included. Just adding a question/thought to my own post.
