As many of you know, I simply love to hear what others are doing on their homesteads, their daily lives and their dreams. As a journalist myself, I love reading other peoples journals and old journals. I have started a journaling forum on this server to see if their are others who are interested. It is NOT a discussion forum, just a place where people can journal and share with others what they are up too.

If there is little or no interest........I will simply delete the whole thing. It is password protected because I do not have the time or inclination to deal with trolls or people unwilling to follow the few rules that are in place. Each person will have their own thread and comments to people's journals will be deleted. Specific questions people might have of someone can be addressed in a new thread to that person.

Please, only apply if you are interested in participating.

I think this is a good idea. Are you aware of bloggers (Web Logs)and if you are, have you considered a way for turning those into something akin to what you have started?

Seems to me that this might be a way to accomplish what you have suggested, but without the hassel of being a moderator and the uncertain future of Lusenet. I haven't read about a way to organize bloggers into a forum type setting, other than word of mouth/email/links, perhaps there is such a way.

Thank you for the suggestion. I guess we will just have to cross the "lucenet crash" when we get to it. I will try to back up our journals every few days so all will not be lost it the "big one" comes.

For those of you who are sending password requests......please include the name you usually post under. I am not interested in "excluding" but for very obvious reasons, if you are not an active participant that I recognize from one of the forums, you most likely will not get the password unless recommended by someone.

Diane, I would love to do this. I already keep a running journal of important "nature" events on my large calendar (heard the first Whip- or-will last night; rained cats and dogs today; Redbuds finally coming into bloom - that sort of thing). Around here every day is a brand new one, with brand new problems and pains. It would be fun to share these things and have a record to look back on. Deborah

I have actually been nicely surprised at all the interest. If you have submitted your request at my hotmail account........please resubmit if you didn't get a password. I am having trouble with that account since I was forced to put a junk mail filter on it and only have mail coming from people in my addressbook to my mailbox. I do try to sort through the junk, but must admit with all the pornography stuff..........the last two days I have just dumped it without looking.
