Bobco you might enjoy and get some benefit from the on line stream flow and height conditions of waterways in Kansas. I think it is fun to watch the hugh spikes as runoff goes into rivers and creeks, and then the large drops as the water moves downstream.

Since I have a river outside my front door.(well.. not literally but darn close) I really don't need anymore just now but I don't think I am going to have a choice.I am weird in that I love the sound of it when it roars. We had a major flood the year we bought this place. Thats how we met our neighbors. The road runs between our house and the river.We live on the side of an Ozark mountain so if the water gets to us you had better have your ark built but it did get over the road that year. People tring to get to town only got to our place. They had never seen it that high so they stopped to watch it and to meet their new neighbors. We had a lot of fun. It is comming up fast right now.

Rain, rain go away... My pasture is too long, can't mow the yard, can't plant my garden, everywhere you walk it goes "squish, squish, squish". Two years ago it was so dry everyone's wells dried up. ('cept ours...tapped into underground spring or something :) Too bad we can't send it down south...believe me, I'd haul the clouds there myself.

I'm with Cindy. It's so wet you leave muddy footprints just walking across the yard. I attended an auction about 2 weeks ago when we also had a heavy rain--a frog drowning rain, actually. A man standing near me whom I did not know commented that the flooding in '93 had started like that. I laughed and told him to please bite his tongue. Heard on the local news at noon that a kayaker in Columbia had to be rescued but later died and that a boatload of people south of Jefferson City were rescued last night. Their boat capsized and they were clinging to trees. How dumb can you get?
