Reading from Stephen Gandy's Cameraquest, I have the feeling that the M5 has a swing arm with the cell.

Would any one comment?

Some lens can damage the M5, isn't it? any comment about the Voigtlander wide angle lens? Regards. X.

Yes, the CL and the M5 share similar swinging-arm metering systems. Certain lenses could cause problems with the metering system by touching the metering cell.

Early 21/3.4 Super Angulon Early 28/2.8 Elmarits Collapsible lenses should exercise care in being collapsed or limited in the amount of collapsing they can do.

I don't believe that any of the CV lenses protrude deep enough into the body to touch the metering cell.

Would the meter be affected by a lens too close to it? I'm thinking of the 21mm by Voigtlander.

The Voightlander 21mm will work fine on the M5 as does the Kobalux 21mm.

I have used the Voightlander 15/4.5 on my M5 and it worked fine. But when you use a super wide lens on M5, just keep in mind that it has a spot meter.
