Jake and Laurent, your friendly messages are very nice, and I don't want to discourage camaraderie. However, I think that you should know two things -- that this forum does not shut down over the weekend, and that it is not in the tradition of the forum to create new threads just for greetings and temporary farewells.
Unless deleted by the moderator (or by forum owner some day), threads remain in archives permanently, and people sometimes search through them manually for information, etc.. Each thread takes up space (memory) and takes time for people to review. The forum now seems to be getting about five times as many new threads per day than it got a year ago, difficult for most people to keep up with. This forum has always been different from a very informal "chat board" in which there are a few conversations that quickly disappear.

Hello, jean! I felt that now would be an opporture tiem to notice the greentree effect of your greeting: not only is it fun in the summer sun, but when the rain comes out your greeting stays about!
