He survived 23 years of torture in prison based on his religious beliefs. At age 19 he was placed in prison for practicing religion in Communist Russia. He could either renounce his religion or go to jail. He successfully escaped from Soviet prisons 9 times.

As he was about to freeze to death, in jail, he prayed to the Virgin Mary. A light filled the room. He claims an apparition of the Virgin Mary came to his room to save him. At this point he claimed he forged a permanent connection with the supernatural and was a conduit for prophecy.

He has 200 prophecies. They are apocalyptic in nature. He is spoken at the white house. He has seen the Pope 36 times.

He sees earthquakes in California. It will sink into the water.

Politically, even if things seem peaceful watch out for RUSSIA and CHINA. They could be powder kegs ready to explode. ---------------------------------------------------

Weird, out of no where, yesterday my dad gave me a tape on Prophesies and which ones to believe by Fr. Richard McCalier (not sure of spelling). I don't speak to my dad that much because of school and work, so he wouldn't have known to give me this tape. Anyway - Fr. McCalier states that Mary is not a Psychic, she isn't a soothsayer, predictions of the future should be looked at very carefully. He also notes that any message of Mary will be a "hopeful" message. That is, they won’t be like "Death is coming and all you are going to hell". She will only try to bring us to her Son! Her messages that have been officiated are always to pray more, to spend time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, and to repent, etc. Fr. specifically warned not to believe in the predictions that California would be "swallowed up" because the ice-caps are melting or whatever.

If this guy, Josyp Terelya, has met with the Pope, what does the Pope have to say about him? Just because someone has met with the Pope doesn't make them credible. Fidel Casto also met with the Pope. Conchita Gonzales of Garabandal has also met with the Pope, but those apparitions have not been "approved" either. Look at the message, and if it is leading to hope and prayer it is possible that it might be true. On the other hand, if it leads one to nervousness and anxiety about death or destruction, I would be very weary.

Jake, Our Lady of Fatima "predicted" that unless people stopped sinning, a greater war than World War I would begin during the reign of Pope Pius XI. Austria was annexed during his reign and WWII started shortly after. She also said that unless Russia was consecrated to her immaculate heart, it would spread its errors all over the world. Not very upbeat sounding to me.... Josef Terelya's book "Witness" is compelling, and the guy sounds authentic. However, later on in his next book, he starts talking about apparitions in Colorado, Medjugorge, etc. All very charismatic sounding.....the guy seems sincere, and maybe when he was in the gulags he did have some personal experiences with Our Lord and Our Lady, but later on thinks seem to get a bit odd. I would be a bit skeptical.

Xavier do mind me asking why the obbsession with visions and prophecies and the like? Is this something you have experienced yourself? Dp you live near somewhere well known for visions etc? I tend to have "little faith" and much doubt over many such claims and would lump 99% of all this stuff in with the UFO crowd- nutter material so Im curious as to your interest. Blessings

I figure that anything that is brought out to us in this manner is worthy of discernment and examination. If the message brings us to Jesus and the final message is to bring us to Him then the apocalyptic is to spur us on, we are so hard of hearing and of this world that the prod may well be bad news. The best prophesy is one that is unfulfilled because of penance changed the outcome, Nineveh for example.

Yes, I believe that Mr. Terelya's prophecies are very true. I have read his volume entitled 'Kingdom of the Spirit.' A blessed work I might add. I am a young Catholic artist myself and I have also done personal studies about the Zionist movements and ultranationalistic tendencies of some of the middle-east leaders. I also believe that our current president is very foolish when it comes to trusting Zionist fanatics who are bloodthirsty and filled with the hatred of the evil one. Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of the hard- hearted and those who would try to revert back to temple sacrifces, thereby creating a religion of blaspheming Our Blessed Lord Jesus. The root of this evil comes from the organiztion referred to as the 'Temple Institute.'This group was founded by a man that I have even dreamt would dare to declare himself the Messiah of Israel. Recall the Scriptural verse, 'Another shall come in his own name and him you shall receive.' We must help our brothers and sisters in Israel understand that this organization is overflowing with hate and contempt for all that is holy except their own ethnic and religious intentions. Be wary 'lest you give in to destructive anger and hostile comments, that's the right wing of the devil bird whereas the left is lust. I truly believe that in the difficult times to come, the spoiled people (myself included) of this country will be forced to work together and help each other. Pray for those who are in California who are of good will in the blessed grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The holy angels will be sent to guide them to safety if anything disasterous should happen to befall that area of land. There are many good people there, despite all the useless and typical evangelical whining about their sin. Take a good look at your own! Woe be unto a nation that attacks the poor and the destitute, who rely only on a very meager means of life to survive, they will be the princes of heaven who you should pray shall have mercy upon those who are rich and swollen with pride and power!May the Lord grant strength and renewed vigour to any person who may read this.

I too am skeptical of visions and apparitions, however, Josyp Terelya does have a pretty good track record of accuracy in the predictions of future events. He probably doesn't care if others are skeptical about his abilities as a seer as long as they heed Mary's message to pray, forgive and love which he repeats often in his book "Witness". In his book he mentions that he was writing more books; ie; one about the Masons. Does anyone have the names of other books he has published? and does he use any different pen names?

It doesn't hurt to "be prepared" both spiritually and physically. That's why most people have insurance policies, try to find good, safe places to live, investigate what type of car is safest to drive...etc.

It's a natural and good human instinct. Now, maybe some people take this to the extreme of building bomb or fallout shelters and stockpiling food and weapons...but even those "extremes" can be relatively innocent provided they're done in prudence... for example: if you live in a tornado ally in Kansas, having a storm cellar (essentially a bomb or fallout shelter) isn't an extreme idea.

If you live in a part of the country prone to floods or hurricanes, having 3,7, or more days worth of emergency supplies, camping gear, etc. isn't nuts.

But it would be nuts if in the face of impending spiritual and moral decay you stock up on physical things rather than unite with your fellow man and try to bring the light of Christ to souls in danger of being lost in the shadow of sin and death!

One thing should be clear: in the face of either destructive natural forces or unreasoning barbarians, the only prudent path of action is forewarning, and reasonable precautions. But in the face of POSSIBLE or PROBABLE loss of the next generation to sin and vice... the prudent act is NOT merely to circle the wagons and wait, but to go out and get busy converting these masses of people who tomorrow might go completely pagan and completely nuts....

Now is the time to pray and work. Ora et Labora. Pray as a family and as a local community. Work as a couple, family, and community. Create conditions of Christian civilization in your family and neighborhood!

Otherwise...if you get too doom and gloom about the future, you will just implode emotionally and apostolically...and you won't convert the children who tomorrow - and uncatechised and uncared for may be the very barbarians who use the full brunt of the US Military to crush Christianity as we know it in pursuit of some carnal pagan "paradise".

Poland is a prime example: Yes, Mary worked miracles, but it only made a difference because millions of Poles were faithful and kept the faith!

At Fatima our Blessed Mother warned that all prophesy was fulfilled with the Canon. Did this undermine her own words to Lucia? We believe by no means for Lucia tells us these words are written in the Holy Scriptures and that the Fatima prophecies are an enlightenment to these Scriptures, for those who have eyes to see. Therefore if Josyp Terelya is true, then his own prophecies must check and illuminate Scripture. Also another hallmark of a true prophet is that they do not seek monetary or renown profit with their prophecy, so is this man profiting from these visions?

We, like many here, would be wary of any prophecies our Mother Church has not deemed "worthy of belief", and there is certainly enough in those she has designated as such to keep a Scriptural scholar busy for a very long time without seeking out others.

Good posting Joy. As to whether Mr. Terelya is going to release any more of his visions in writing by a publisher I have yet to see. I myself have been very anxious spiritually about situations in the Middle East and have found myself giving in to uncontrollable fits of crying, as if I am somehow helping to lighten the sorrow of a brother or sister over there. I believe that this is a blessed gift of the Holy Spirit. I like to refer to it as S.O.F.T.-or the sharing of family's tears. And when I say family I mean ALL people of good will whether Muslim, Jew, Catholic/Christian, Russian Orthodox, no matter the evil that people will do I will pray for the repose of their soul. I have seen terrible pictures on the internet as well as in my imagination of those who are innocent and suffer under the persecution of evil men, no matter their nationality or ethnic identity and I say to Our Eternal Father, 'I wish to be there in heart and in mind and in spirit, to grieve with my brothers and sisters, as if I were suffering with them. May the Lord bless all who read this and pray that Mr.Terelya's work will continue to be supported along with my own. I like to draw angels, saints, and all those of our Heavenly Holy Family too. :)

I met Mr Teralya and his wife at St. Ann's Church in Pensacola Beach, Florida in 1995. He is for real. He has almost supernatural faith. He is an emmissary for the Pope. He is militant for Jesus Christ and his Mother Mary. He does not care what people think, only what Jesus,Mary and his Father in Heaven think as well as the Holy Spirit. At that time he did not speak English and his wife interpreted in English for him. The urgency in his voice...his message was very humbling to us all present. He is humble but militant about getting the truth and knowledge out there for people to read, hear and to make their own decision...just like God gives us this choice...either be for Him or against Him. my very own opinion is that Josef Teralya is real and his books testify to that reality but reality is hard and a lot of people in USA and Canada do not want to hear his message. It brings them out of their comfort zone. Heaven is fighting a massive spiritual war and so are we. We are either fighters for the battle we cannot see or we are ignoring the whole thing and anyone who is open and out fighting the battle with heaven is crazy. We are in a multi-cultural world and society that says good is bad and bad is good. Peace is what we are looking for and at but in order to have peace we must be a part of the army of Heaven and willing to have faith and get out and participate in that spiritual battle We have to get out of our comfort zone and take risks for God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, and his Mother Mary and for the Holy Spirit. I thank God I had the pleasure of meeting this very holy man. By the way, there was only a handful of people there that night I saw him. About 25 or so as I recall. That is sad in itself.

St. Ann's Church on Pensacola Beach along with another church were the only two buildings left standing after two devastating hurrcanes came ashore a few weeks apart at the EXACT SAME PLACE from the Gulf of Mexico. The first Hurricane came from one direction...the second from the other direction and formed a cross or an X as non believers would say! Also a concrete cross put up by the Knights of Columbus also was left standing. There was an area of about 5 miles that was natural with sea oats and huge sand dunes that was so beautiful there. It was wiped out. Every year there at the end of May, early June, thousands of Homosexuals came to romp there on this secluded beach and hold a convention of sorts. They were always there on the same weekend as the March for Jesus was held all over the country. I find this all very interesting and do did Josf Teralya. After these hurricanes there was no more yearly big party on this area of the beach as the seclusion was gone. I believe God does get angry, very angry when he is slapped in the face like at Sodom and Gommorhah.

I have never personally had a vision of Mary, but I have had a visit from and angel of God, so I do believe in these visions. Eleven years ago when my twins were two years old I had a visit from an angel. I don't remember HOW I woke, but when I woke he was standing at the foot of my bed and I heard him tell me to go to my girls' room that there was something wrong. I got up right away and ran to their room and looked over into the crib where I saw that the first born wasn't breathing and had already turned a shade of blue. I called for my husband and started CPR on her. He dialed up my mammy and she and Papa came over right away and we drove our baby to Leboneur in Memphis where she was treated. We spent 6 days in the hospital (3 in ICU). I have no doubt about what I saw and heard, and if it weren't for God sending me this wonderful messenger, my child wouldn't be alive today. I believe he had a higher purpose for this child as she has a greater devotion to God and all things good than any child I have ever seen at her age. She is an example to me and my husband and to our other children.

I have met him and believe he is a true visionary. He is kind, gentle, happy, helpful, prayerful, a teacher with conviction. He is poor. He has no agenda other than to promote the faith and Mary.

He needs to get the word out on his prophecies. The church is dragging it's feet,as it always does,,,,only time will prove him right. His latest one is this.
