Gil, I don't know if you're aware, but M2 production started at SN 926001, which would make your camera only the 14th M2 produced for public sale. It does not have several of the very early features described by Lager (eg., lack of protective ring around button release and presence of flat frame illumination window llike that of the M3). This could be a random event or the window could have been replaced when the camera was sent in for servicing. In either event. it is an extremely early camera, and thus of some historical interest.
