I'm so tired, and unexplicably sad. Maybe it's because Montego's not here. My place feels creepily quiet.AB, Mike - how were your long weekends?

You know, we almost, ALMOST drove to NO from Monroe Saturday, but ruled it out because we would have been cutting the time so close. I wish we had! Funroe was nice, though. All crawfish and po-boys and wine, all the time.Madeleine Chao is gone for a month, y'all. A month! Vince and I hardly know what to do with ourselves, but we've been making up for it by being really loud, really late at night, and then laughing like loons that Mad Mad isn't there to scold us with her, "I can't get any STHLEEP in here!!!"

Aw AB, I wish you had. But I hope to go back there this summer, so maybe we can all meet up and have a long weekend! That would be fun.One month only: The Chao "Adults Only" Camp. That scares me.

AB Chao, I just sent you an e-mail containing the saddest song ever. Give to Vince Chao, he write, we make millions, whole world cry.
-- Anonymous, May 29, 2002
That is certainly the saddest song ever. I think Vince Chao will be able to make it even sadder with his sad guitar, too.
