Some not-so-common M lenses available

Front-rangers especially take note:

There are suddenly quite a few older M-mount Leica lenses available used in the shops around Denver. I just thought I'd post a 'catalog' in case anyone has been searching for something without luck. I'm just listing the stores - Directory Assistance can get you the 'phone numbers and the stores can quote you prices.

Camera Trader - Englewood(?), Colorado: ALL chrome, old-style knurling:

50 f/2 collapsible WITHOUT ANY CLEANING MARKS but with some internal dust; 50 f/2 rigid - no marks; 50 f/2 DR, some fog, no goggles; 50 f/2.8 collapsible (original '50/60's version); 90 Tele-Elmarit (fat) - stiff focusing, otherwise very clean.

These guys also have a NIB 135 3.4 APO that they might let go at close to cost ($1750 or so) if you ask nice - a special order they got 'stuck' with.

S&S Optika - (Englewood?)

Original long 90 Elmarit (with vulcanite band), black; 90 Tele-Elmarit 'thin', no visible glass disease; 35 preASPH Summilux, black. 135 f/4 knurled Tele-Elmar.

Denver Pro Photo (Denver): 90 f/2 pre-ASPH (Solms)

Mike's Camera (Boulder): 21 f/2.8 preASPH; 50 f/1.4 latest model, but WELL used.

I take no reponsibility for actual condition or availbility - just thought I'd let you all know in case you've been looking...the asking prices are average or a little above - but I've bought from all these places and they will haggle some.

There's also a fair amount of middled-aged R lenses and a few cameras -ask and I'll tell you if I've seen what your looking for.

Also one cleanish IIIf w/50 f/3.5 - probably overpriced at $895 - Mile High Camera, Denver.

No finder's fee 8^)

Answers

very thoughtful Andy. Bob F. did this once, too, but for only one lens.

Thanks

Thanks Andy. As a Denver resident, I appreciate this list. To add to the list: Mike's Camera on Colo. Blvd. has an old 135 F4, and a NIB Tri-Elmar (a least they did a few weeks ago).

$1750 is not a steal for a 135/3.4. Grey clocks in around $1500 and I have seen used at $1200 (DC has one right now).

John - thanks for the price guidance on the 135.

Also I suppose not all of these items are all THAT rare, but a collapsible 1955 'cron with *no cleaning marks* seems to rank right up there with the 50/1.2 Noct - 8^)
