Can anyone tell me where to find specs on Canon Lens shades/hoods for the FD series. I recently purchased an FD 35-70mm f3.5-4.5 zoom 52mm filter size from KEH.com and didn't get a hood or caps with it. From what I have been able to find via Internet searches it appears that the BW-58C is what I want but I also see that number listed for the 35-105mm which is a 58mm filter size. I am now confused and frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. - Rick

The hood size is based on the bayonet mount on the barrel, not the filter size. If it's any help, Nikon still makes nice lens hoods that screw into the front threads, and are available at most large camera stores. I use a HN 3 for my FD35mm that has a 52mm filter size.Good luck, -Bob
