My wife asked me to post this letter from a co-worker who has a grandnehephew who is gravely ill. Your prayers would be welcomed. FRED

Life sometime deals us a hand we can't throw in and this has happened to my niece. Monesha is a 27 year old single mother with two children a daughter 6 and a son 4-1/2. This week her life has been turn upside down. Her son Jordan has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a solid cancerous tumor that begins in nerve tissues of the body, it originates in the abdomen in the tissues of the adrenal gland. By the time it is diagnosed, the cancer has metastasized to the lymph nodes, liver, lungs, bones and bone marrow. This cancer is predominantly a tumor of early childhood, most are diagnosed before age 5. It is most often present a birth but usually no detected until later. The treatment for all children with this type cancer: surgery ( removal of tumor); radiation therapy; chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation. Jordan cancer is Stage 4 (Very High Risk) because his cancer has spread to distant lymph nodes, to the bone, liver, bone marrow, and other organs. Jordan is not a candidate for surgery because the tumor has attached to most of his vital organs. On Friday, 7 June they will start the high dosage radiation therapy and if he can tolerate these treatments he will have a series of 10 treatments and if they show signs of shrinking the tumor, he will them be given a series of chemotherapy and then it will be determine if they will do a bone marrow transplant. Little Jordan has a 25% survival rate and I am asking all that know and believe in the power of prayer that you will pray for Jordan and his mother. God has a plan for Jordan life and even though we don't understand it, we must continue to give Him the glory.

Thanking you in advance for your prayers. Lil

Heavenly Father, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, we lift this little child to you and lay him before your glorious throne. Lord, we plead for the life of this little child. May your grace of healing flow through his body. Cause the treatment to work, Lord, we pray, cause the doctors and nurses to be gifted by you for this purpose.

Lord, we pray for this child's mother. Oh Lord, let her rest herself in you. Lord, may she lean on you in this time of trouble. Lord help her to hide herself in thee, the great Rock of our Salvation. God, I pray that you would surround her with the comfort of your Holy Spirit, that you would surround her with friends that will share this burden with her.

Oh Lord, above all, BE with little Jordan. Give him a brave heart. Lord, may your Spirit bless his little heart. May his child-like faith beam in the face of this illness. May his little eyes see your face, behold your mercy, and may he rest his soul in your hands.

Amen.

Thank you for your responses -- Jordan needs all of our prayers. He's a very special young man. I will keep you all posted on his progress. He is expected to be moved to St. Jude's Children's Hospital to begin his treatments. Lord, give this child the strength he will need to endure.

Thank you for your prayers for Jordan. He will be experiencing a lot of pain as a result of his treatments. The prognosis is not good for him, but he believes in Jesus and knows that if he dies, he will be in good hands.

Thank you all.

I have stumbled upon your prayer request as it seems out of nowhere, but then again I do not believe that it was chance. My prayer is for the recovery of this young champion and his family and all that have been affected by this tremondous disease. Keep your faith in GOD and JESUS and we will pray for you always. Love your Brother in CHRIST.
