Stefan
I was waiting to see who captured this event! Unfortunately I went up to the cotswolds for the weekend.

Stefan

Thanks for these - my favourite is the flypast with the flag in the foreground.

The photos of the Concorde and the Red Arrows ( I think), are outstanding ! Best wishes, Don

Funny how they were flying the Concorde (french) at an English celebration.

Shot my mouth off before I knew what I was talking about. Good thing I didn't hit "post". Turns out it was a 50-50 joint venture.

nice one, isn't it? i took five shots of them , this is the best one. who needs a stupid motordrive on a M?

The fly-by with the flag is probably my favorite, too, but the shot of the Queen in her car was excellent, as well. The crowd/people shots add flavor to the set, however. Nice work, Stefan.

Josh, why do you think they called it the Concorde? (French spelling, BTW.) The French and the Brits didn't have much in terms of concord through the centuries, did they? ;-). An airliner seemed like a good idea to seal the "Entente cordiale" again, at the time. Now, if you capitalize "English", try to to capitalize "French" as well. That'll help, too. ;-) And don't go tell the Welsh, the Scots, the Irish (some of them, anyway) that this was an English celebration. In golf, you have Nick Faldo, and then you have Ian Woosnam, and then you have Colin Montgomerie, and then you have Darren Clarke. One English, all Brits. There is a quiz for you: name who's what. It's a little like calling a V/C 50 mm Nokton screw mount with adaptor a Leica lens. There are the M mount lenses, and then there are Leica lenses among them. Pheww, I thought I'd never go back to Leica photography. Also, thank you for posting you nice pics, Stefan.
