Use of Expired Film for New Imagesgreenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Creativity, Etc. : One Thread |
I first came into possession of an expired roll of 620 black and white film about a year ago, and was afraid to use it at first, but decided, what the heck, I'll give 'er a try. Well, the results were astounding. There was a little bit of fuzziness on the edges of the pictures, but in the center they were sharp and clear. I've since tried many rolls of expired 120 and 620 film, with varying success, but for the most part I get some kind of image, even though the film may be in excess of 30 years old! I have found this form of photography to be very exciting, and wonder if anyone else has tried it and had success. Oh, btw, I use it in vintage cameras, too.
