It occurred to me while saying morning prayers that anyone which of course includes myself has no right attempt to deminish the dignity of any member of the forum.

Recently a member attempted to admonish Fred stating over and over I love him. This is not the act(s) of an adult I feel rather the futile attempts of a child to hurt another.

I ask those of us who are adults to not admonish another unless we truly have their well being at heart. Otherwise we are simply being ugly in nature.

Molson - perhaps as our maturation process goes forward we learn wheat from chaff. Please remember Fred has stated he suffers from a form of depression which almost a full 1/8th or twelve percent of the population suffers.

I include myself in this for I take neural enhancers due to stress at times in my work with slashers. The world is tough enough without our adding to others burdens.

My Mom is in Ireland now. That is so awsome to me. Last year on July fifth she was operated on with cancer and had a tumor the size of a softfball removed from her. My Mom weighs 110 after a Thanksgiving dinner.

Mother Seton, and Padre Pio helped bring some of God's grace for me. Please read about St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Our Lord loves her Xavier, and she will go to bat for her friends! (I promise).

My old computer is having problems. That's why I've been missing on and off. Just coming closer to normal since yesterday; and the quality of the last few new threads is so poor (I beg everybody's pardon for saying) that it seems better to stay out. One or two new ones are so inflammatory they deserve to be deleted right away. If I post in them, it'll prolong their disgusting shelf-life.

The last serious thread was about the psychology of homosexuals in the Church, a subject worth considering in some depth. But unfortunately it became a pissing contest between me and a fellow Catholic. Not very tidy, OK?

It would be nice to talk about the Catholic faith and our Church on some elevated plane. Without pitter-patter and catechism paste jobs. St Basil the great, "The fearless Champion of Orthodox Faith" 329-379 A.D.

For some reason St Basil seems to be held in especially high regard by those who use the name Orthodox from what Ive read (whatever that means?). Perhaps that has something to do with his well known feelings of contempt for human praise.

Anyway he was a man who loved poverty, hard labour and studying scripture, he sounds like a bit of a hermit as he shunned the outside world. He founded many monastries and wrote the rules for monastics. Holiness must have been in the genes as his whole extended family - grandmother, parents, brothers and sister were all Saints!

He was described as cheerful by St Gregory but died so poor he could not afford a tombstone(even thogh he was a Bishop) The Church chose to honor him as one of the great "Three Hierarchs," together with St. John Chrysostom and St. Gregory the Theologian (their feast is celebrated on January 30).

I think I read he is patron Saint of hospital administrators(?!) but Im not sure. Thought Id save people the time if they were interested in him. Oh he was Greek, guess thats why the "Orthodox" reference kept coming up.
