My Great Grandfather died while square dancing in a contest on 9-23-1939. We have a cable from the Expo expressing their condolances and we have a ticket stub. My question is how do I find a news article about this death?

If you're not in San Francisco, you can email to the reference librarians to look for you. Dunno what arrangements they have for making Xerox copies.
