Does any one know what the gold coating is that is on almost every screw and bolt on the bike. A few screws on my bike have become discolored; I was planning on getting them recoated but I can't get an answere to what the exact name of the coating is. Asked the dealer - they didn't know; emailed Cagiva USA and got no response. A local plating company said it could be Zinc or Gold Cadmium. It apears to be the same coating used on ducati parts.

Cadnium plating. The problem in the US is no many shop can do it because of the EPA.
