Replacement Headlamp Glass "Help"!!!greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
Can anyone tell me where I can find a replacement head lamp glass? The local dealer says it is on back order. That is also what I was told with the neutral switch that I've been waiting 4 months for. So I don't expect the glass to be in any time soon. If anyone knows where I can get one sooner I'd appreciate it.Steve

I can sympathize about the headlamp glass. The headlamp glass on my MV cracked after a little pebble hit it with not even 2000 miles on the motorcycle. I wonder if the MV's glass is made out of some sort of weaker glass or something. In any case, once you get the new glass, Matt Thompson, a fellow user in this forum, directed me toward a site that makes covers which protect the headlamp glass. This site was: www.ventura-bike.comThe price for this item is arounf USD$30 and as he told me, it may be a little late for it now, but it will give piece of mind for the protection of the headlamp glass in the future.

I ordered a headlamp cover from cycle venture. The fit was horrible and I was not able to use it. They were good about refunding my money though.

Thanks for the info. I have to get the glass first and I'm having this feeling that it is going to take forever as well as being a pain in the ass. Thanks again

Well, I spoke too soon. About 2 minutes after my last post I called around to a few dealers around the country and they had what I needed. By Friday she'll be up and runnin' again.Later, Steve

John, not sure what was wrong with your headlight cover but my one from ventura fits perfectly.

Which dealer had it if you do not mind saying. I have a couple of customers who have been waiting for the glass for a while now and would like to see if I could get the glass somewhere else.

Munroe Motors in San Francisco, Ca. there phone# is (415) 626-3496 or www.munroemotors.com. I spoke with Andrew. He was very helpful and also owns a MV. He said that because he is an owner and they have sold a lot of MV's around there, he keeps a lot of parts in stock that other dealers don't. Good Luck.Steve

How does the headlight cover fix? Does it just tack to the outside fairing.I 'm trying to visualise how one would look on my MV. Thanks

It attaches to the existing headlight. If you go to the ventura sight they have lots of photos of the covers on other bikes.
