IT's fake. I've seen it myself. A lot of the pictures are just Goku and the others with a little paintwork. Even if they did look authentic it's still fake because if you go to the offical Dragonballz website, go to the bottom of the screen and go to feedback you'll find out the truth. Dragonball af is a REAL manga graphic novel they have it out in japan it is not by the guy who made db but it is a published book it might come out in english but its never going to be an anime! i know its real because i have a copy (I can read japanese).

To put the rumors to a rest, here is the complete answer:In Japan, there is a manga known as Dragonball AF. HOWEVER! This is nothing but a fan manga, created by fans of the show that can draw very well. Now, a lot of the "screen shots" you see of AF are one of two things:
1. Edited pictures for Z or GT.
or
2. Hand drawn pictures, basically made by fans.
Dragonball AF is nothing more than the hopes and dreams of fans who don't want to see the Dragonball Series die so quickly. I have to tell you, it had a great run as an actual anime, but now the extention of the series will only exist in the hearts of those who wish it to be so.

I'm about to drop some knowledge on you all. DragonBall AF is a fake series that was created by fans. Some of these fans happen to know about computers and stuff, and some can draw the pictures for AF, and those people worked together some episodes. That's all. There is some talk about the people who created AF might go to Akira Toriyama and ask he/she (Sorry I don't know if that's a guy or a girl) to approve AF as an actual series, but until then offically it's fake. But if people continue to make these fake episodes and storylines, it may as well be real.

here is something I found, at least read it and give it an opinion cause I wouldnt know if the series is real or fake"Well, I found out that the picture I have of Super Sayian 5 Goku, isnt Goku, but a Dragonall God named Xlcer or something like that. A friends cousin in Japan told me about what sort of things they have on it out there. He said he saw some posters and stuff, and little books explaining it. They said that it's supposed to be better than all 3 DB series put together. It is supposedly going to be a manga first. It will be called Dragonball AF (After Future). They said the name will end up either After Future or something else. Akira isn't supposed to have any part with it, they said he might possibly have something to do with it. He isn't too sure because he is doing another manga now. So right now they are only supposed to get consent. Although he has been interested in starting another DB series. yes af is real and if you want to know what happens in the two episodes i have seen ok i'll tell you in the first one i saw it was goku and vegeta jr. in the turament * i'll describe the ring * two statues one of satan and one of goku typical ring other wise. it is the finals of the tournament and goku and vegeta jr. start there fight it ends as they complament them selfs and power up to ssj2. the second one i have seen is before the tornament only haveing goku jr. and pan pan is an old woman and is goku jr.s grandma she has a heart attack and is in the hospital goku jr. remembers a story she told him aboutn the dragonball and decides he is going to go look for the dragonball she has told him about the 4 star ball but to find it he has to goto goku's orginal house on the mountain so he starts his journey climbing up the mountain running into his school yard bully who ends up going with him because of something pan did before. the two end up getting in to a few scrapes and goku jr. thinks his mew friend has died and conutnes to the house while running into a few more problems but he ends up makeing it and when he trys to summon the dragon shinlong it dosn't work because he dosn't know that he has to have all 7 of the dragonballs he gets mad at the dragonball thinking that it was just a lie that his grandma told him but then guess who appers goku only for a briff second though you dont expect it because of the way it happens he tell goku jr you have to have all seven of the dragonsball and says didn't pan tell you that part then bamm you hear a chopper and there is pan and his new friend they are both ok and it ends there

DB and DBZ have been a HUMONGOUS HIT in Japan N.America and everywhere else. Dunno if i can say that for DBGT but its good :).ppl cant live with the fact that the series has come to an end which resulted in the FAKE pics of Dragon Ball AF characters. I have a pic of SSJ4 Goku in a good pose, n then i have another pic of the DBAF character "SSJ4 Trunks". U can clearly see itd a fake cos in Trunks' pic they just cut off Gokus head n replaced it with Trunks' .As much i want it to become a reality...it simply wont. HOWEVER after DBZ came to an end in Japan, similar rumors started spreading abt a new DB series called GT which portrayed Goku in an incredible SSJ4 form. Dragonball AF only exists as a FAN MANGAIts hard to know the storyline since its unofficial and being unofficial means that as the info is passed through the internet it is twisted untill you get about 1000 different stories about it. Also DBAF is a curse to imaganitive artists like me, I drew a pic of what I thought a fusion between Piccolo and Vegeta would look like , a month after i scanned it I saw it on website saying it was proof of DBAF !. I mean what the hell is that ?. Who ever says that Akira Toriyama is behind DBAF or is related to it is aload of crap since Toei own Dragonball, Dragonballz and GT so it isnt Akiras Decision.

Yes Af is real the people that say it is on KAZAA it is. My dad downloaded it and i checked it out and its there. I went to figure out if it was real. I emailed Bird Studious and they said they are getting approval from Akira and that they are going to make 270 episodes and it is going to come out in January 2004. There is not only 64 episodes of Gt nickartusa@hotmail.com because i checked. Hey nickartusa@hotmail.com go to dragonballgt.com and it says there is going to be at least 70 episodes for the first saga. There is a saga when goku as a kid at Super Saiyan 4 and Vegeta at Super Saiyan 4 fuse in Gogetta Super Saiyan 4 for 20 minutes. but goku's body cant hold the power. goku.sr i know my facts are straight there are only 64 episodes of DBGT i even downloaded the last few episodes. if its being done by funimation then thats a different story because it would be the americanized version plus he doesnt look like a lil kid as super saiyan4 when he turns into that forms he changes back into grown although he is still a kid in normal form. episode 62 they become gogeta but it only lasted for 20 minutes the next episode 63 the gang have to leav but gohan trunks goten pan and uubu descided to go back and help because vegeta was getting beat up badly then all of a sudden he sees goku and smies because he made a spirit bomb from the whole universe and shoots it at Li shenlong or as funimation calls him sin shenron and eventually he dies pretty quickly. episode 64 the dragon comes back telling them their wishes were that because they made good wishes the evil dragons would come to destroy them like so and if they had made bad wishes the good dragons would have thus goku went on the dragon as nieve as he could be he just leaves the gang and meets krillin. so they do a little fight and krillin wins and as soon as he turns around goku is gone with the dragon again then he meets piccolo in hell who defeats a giant monster and then goku leaves again and sleeps on the dragon. afterwards the dragonball come and absorb inside goke, so after that they go 100 years in the future where they show goku.jr and vegeta.jr fight thats when pan sees goku but he dissapears when she tried to find him so that was the end. so there is nuthin wrong with my facts maybe u dont download much at KAZAA. so goku.sr as u tried to prove me wrong I prefer u to address me by nemesis and go to a real DBGT site

Hey, I'm A DB Fan and I would really love to see another DB series because of the lack of entertainment from DBGT, and it's hard to tell if it's real or not because many fans submit poor artwork like DB and DBZ pics with diff. color schemes. It's just a Series created by fans, not Akira Toriyama. It does have a comic, but it's all just a series created by fans to see what they would come up with. I think it has a cool storyline though. I also believe it would get great ratings if it aired, but this is not an addition to the DB Universe, it's a fanfic using the DB/Z/GT info and story.So, basically it's real, just not official.
P.S. But do you guys remember... in Japan after DBZ (which was then the end of the DB series) fans complained and wanted to see more, so eventually rumors spread about a new addition to the DB series, about something crazy like SSJ4?!?! Ofcourse many fans doubted these radical remarks. Well in due time, DB:GT was made official (but not by Akira, it was by people that worked with him) So DBAF may very well be true... but i doubt it.

I have contradicting thoughs one this.For one, after seeing all the 64 episodes of GT, I must say that i dont believe AF or V can be possible, because of the way GT ends. It clearly states that the series are OVER!!!(goku sacrifices himself by climbing on shenlong back, and says goodbye and thnk you to all his friends). Then is shows 100 yrs in the future, and if you see the special episode, in its beggining the narrator says PAN is the only survivor of them ALL!
Secondly, my love for the series makes me want to believe in a sequel, and my beliefs are based on: - The purpose of the series is to make money for their makers, so it would only be natural for them to make a sequel, since DB is one of the most wolrd spread cartoons EVER! And has MILLIONS of fans. So the income and success would be guarranteed!
- They allways have a way of bringing back the caracters, even after having shown their death, for example, one of the comments i read here, shown a very good introduction to a new series: In the fight between gohan and cell, goku comes out of a portal in SSJ5 form and tells about an alternate future, with new enemies(although i think the SSJ5 form wouldn´t be shown so early in the series).
PS - A new series of dragonball could BECOME a FACT if the ppl at Toei and Akira himself are convinced by the community that all we want is a damn sequel and that they would make BIG MONEY by giving us what we want. It´s so damn simple! All we have/can do is ASK!!!
PS2 - Is anyone has some FACT´s about a new series (I mean fact´s that someone with an IQ over 90 would believe; not pic´s nor kazaa crap that only ppl who haven´t seen the Z/GT episodes believe in) plz post them and show the sources of your belief.

AF is currently showing in Japan, it is dooing pretty good, yea i have eps what i mean by fake is it was not made bye fundimation, Akio, or toie.. and Dragonball NW® well it is New world the earth blows up and the Z-fighters escape and go to a New world, Goku and Vegeta Go to train then a guy named Hidro appears which he can change into any energy he sences Goku does it again but he goes sSJ8, but still not enough so then he goes 9, and Vegeta does to they fuse to make Vegetto SSJ 9, but still Hidro is to strong eventually Hidro kills almost everyone , then the eternal Dragon comes out and Kills Hidro, and restrores everyone back to life, then later the Z-fighters incounter a Guy named Android 24 he is as strong as A SSJ 9 with every dead Androids energy with him, Goku cant beat him then finnaly Goku goes SSJ 10, and beats him. then the Eternal dragon Says no more fighting anymore and that ends the DragonBall series for ever! and yes i am one of the owners of NW and Toie is gonna buy it in a year only, if you help support me becuse if you go spreding rumors that it is fake then toie will not buy it and AF will never come in the USA so support me . and NW is gonna air in USA first.

i see. All over the net? well that's right, but most of them said it was just a hoax or a garbage that Akira created at first but the idea flew away or manga. It's hard to find where they say this is real with no proof and no one knows because most of dbaf pix are from dbz and dbgt, they just edited them. Why would Goten and Trunks still be small (pix) as kids in dbaf since they'd grown big in dbgt? Dont make sense.

i have no idea how many episodes there are but let me tell you what i know about this series....when i first red the story of DBAF i thought it was fake...but then i had a friend in italy who saw half of the epiosde,, anyway it was goku in the other world training with cell and freiza,,, goku gave his own energy so he can train...

look i'll tell you whatever i know so far about dragonball AF...dragonball AF is real not a fan fiction as other people say,, my freind saw some of it in italy with a special satlite not regalur tv channels... he also saw other new animes as well thats not even airing in japan yet all i hope that they do air in 2004!!!

those of you who think that AF isn't real are right in some respects....i mean come on...toriyama ANNOUNCED through FUNimation that he was getting bored with the series and wasnt going to continue GT. GT was originally planned to be somewhere in the 300 episode range while it remained cut short to a mere 64 episodes (english). The manga book DOES exist however but it was not created by toriyama, however DragonBall, DragonBall Z, and DragonBall GT WERE created by him originally. But for those of you who think the series is over and dead now your sadly mistaken because there are many more games that are about to come out. For instace, DBZ Budokai 2. I'm sure there will also be a Budokai like game based around GT as well. Then there's going to be a billion games for the stupid GBA because a friggin game comes out for that like every damn day (we all know this....i'm sure of it). Ok i have read all of these comments and let me say sumthing. 1)Most of comments, apart from the intelegent ones (like nemesis') sound like they were written by a 7 year old and I had a hard time understanding half of them. Learn some English gramar then re-write your statement. Also the amount of speeling errors and typos i have seen are so frequent its gotten to the point of absurdity.2)Get your facts straight: DBGT is NOT made by Akira. DBGT came out in 1996 There are only 64 episodes of DBGT (I have seen most of GT episodes with the exceptions of a few that I cannot get a hold of) There is a DBAF doujinshi in Japan. All of the DBAF pics i have seen are fake (they took real pics and modified them, i have seen most of em and its obvious to me how they made em) the picture of the supposed SSJ5 is a fan piece for the dojin. Most of you think that the scene when Nappa comes back but gets killed by Vegeta is AF, its not...its episode 43 of GT. Also when Goku Jr goes to find the 4 star db with paku to wish Pan back to health is the DBGT special. The scene with Goku jr and Vegeta Jr fighting is from the last episode of GT (#64) I have yet to be able to find any of these "real" AF epsidoes. Also most of you who say AF exists because you've seen episodes from kazaa...I think most probably that you typed in dragonball af in the search bar and then saw some results but didnt watch them either because they were large in filesize or you were just plain bullshitting. Secondly, those of you who actually have seen these episodes because of a relative or etc... you've most likely seen a fan made cartoon. They are not hard to make. Someone here earlier posted a address to a site with pics. The bottom one with the person in Goku's clothes is a fan piece (obvious from the style, i am an artsit so dont question my opinion on the style) The aboves ones are a live action fan special. Also next time don't say something that you "think" is correct, i read at least 3 comments saying that they're first comments were mistaken ones or they didnt have enough info. I mean if you arent sure you can ask someone like me (I am considered the local guru of the dragonball universe). Dont lie just so you can get people to believe you, I have read some statements from people claiming they've seen everything there is thats to do with db but they are lying as the descriptions and comments are utterly rubbish. ( Pretty the only thing i havent seen are quite a few db episodes(hard to get ahold of) and a couple of GT episodes plus movie 7) I mean its actually funny to read comments made by people trying to pretend they know more about db than anyone else =) If you can prove AF TV series exists then post a link or something that will prove it. Also a lot of the plot stories you hear are made up, since its not exactly hard.
3)Don't be ignorant. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether its fact or fiction. Just because you dont agree with someone doesnt mean you should flame them.I mean most people dont like GT and I can understand why but personally i stillenjoy it. Try to understand why the say the things they say, and also don't be hypocritical; dont say something that you are not quite sure of. Also if you believe something and want others to believe, give some hard evidence instead of ranting on about something without showing any evidence.
4)Those of you who are craving for more db and think the legend is over go find some fanfics on the internet or even wirte your own (like i have). I've read some pretty good ones (if not a bit impossible and they dont link very well with the tv series) Once you read those fanfics you realise just how easy it is to make up a new storyline, new characters and etc...
5)Personal opinions: I think that firstly from what I've heard of DBAF it sounds like its kind of getting too far..(all the rumours about ssj 5,6,7,8 dark etc... I mean I think its cool with just those stages you see in the TV series, maybe one or 2 stage would be cool. I think that if DBAF ever comes out in Japan i doubt it will be popular, since if GT was not considered a success because it was "different" to Z then AF will be considered trash made by a 5 year old since it has so much new stuff (ssj 5.6.7 etc.. and all these odd appearances) I am currently doing some research for information on any new db series. In answer to the actual question of this forum there is a doujinshi called AF but there is yet to be a "proper" Tv series.
Finally to sum it up, don't bullshit, respect opinions, get your facts right, don't act ignorant and finally (for those of your who seem to be obsessed with proving someone wrong) get a hobby or some form of recreation other than spending 24 hours a day on forums.
