Hi there everyone!

As I'm sure my fellow students will agree, November is an incredibly busy month! But I had a moment to catch my breath, so I decided I was long overdue for a posting to the forum.

Things in my life are stressful (as usual) but going as smoothly as can be expected. I am taking a poetry seminar for English that has turned out to be very interesting, and I have narrowed down my thesis topic to something near and dear to my heart: Differences in job satisfaction between urban and suburban teachers. I am still at the proposal stage, but as things develop I will let you know how things go.

Speaking of teaching, my placement is also going well. My grade 4 class is a lot of fun, although they are very different from what I am used to. They are so fidgety, and I can't speak to them with my usual classroom vocabulary! In fact, after 3 months in this class, I am reconsidering teaching high school instead. But there may be job opportunities at my host school next year, and if they offered me a position I would gladly take it.
