Communist priests

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

In the 1930's Bella Dodd and her Cohorts, put 1100 men into the priesthood. Before anyone starts to rave about this. Google search- Just type 1100 communist priests. Then comment,

What's your point? The Church has been attacked, infiltrated, and persecuted by enemies of truth from the very beginning. But God Himself guaranteed that such evil forces would never prevail against His Church, and that He would be with it until the end of time. Today the Church is stronger than ever, though some would like to use the sexual sins and administrative flaws of a few men to suggest otherwise. Liberals and modernists who are infiltrating the Church today are a far greater threat globally than Communists ever were. But they too are doomed to failure, for God has guaranteed the victory of His Church over all comers.

-- Paul (PaulCyp@cox.net), December 16, 2002.

Yes, and they all practiced the Tridentine mass when they got out. Great isn't it? I'm sure that their homilies would have been just fine with you. Is that right? Someone preaching communism is o.k. as long as a Tridentine mass is said?

Okay, I did a search on Google for "1100 Communist priests" and it came up with - zilch!

maybe I should have typed 1101?

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 16, 2002.

The usual smart aleck answers, and still no substance. Christine, I just tried it again to check, advise you get a new computer.

On second thought, all stay as you are. If ignorance is bliss, you folks, are the happiest people on this planet.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 16, 2002.

Believe it or not, I wasn't trying to be a smart-aleck at all, Ed.

And I just tried it again. I went to www.google.com, and entered the phrase "1100 Communist priests," just as you instructed in your original message. The response I got, both yesterday and today, was, "Your search - "1100 communist priests" - did not match any documents."

I fail to see how getting a different computer would change the results.

Let me try that link again!

Christine,

You enclosed your search in quotes which attempts to find a direct match. Try searching for his phrase without the quotes.

-- Glenn (glenn@nospam.com), December 17, 2002.

lol Christine! It's the quotation marks.

-- Emerald (emerald1@cox.net), December 17, 2002.

If I'm not supposed to be searching for the exact phrase "1100 communist priests", then why did Ed say, in his very first message, that this was the phrase we are supposed to be looking for?

I did just now go over to google.com and type it without the quotes, and came up with just ONE (count 'em, ONE) match which seems to basically be saying the exact same thing that Ed said, without any evidence to back it up. The rest of the matches refer to priests, Communists and the year 1100 A.D.

I have heard this stuff about Bella Dodd before. Whether it's true or not, I have no idea. But supposing it is true? Well, there have always been sinners in the Church. The first 12 Apostles included Judas, and Our Lord said that we will have tares among the wheat until harvest time. We need to trust that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide His Church, just as He's always done and just as Our Lord promised He will.

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 17, 2002.

p.s. lol Emerald! ;-) I thought maybe it was 'cause I was holding my coffee cup in my left hand instead of my right! you never know with these newfangled computer thingamajigs ... ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 17, 2002.

Well, I see ed dismissed my comment without considering it. What about it ed? These communists were all practicing the Tridentine mass, and presumably trying to undermine the church. Doesn't that disturb you? Was that what you were trying to imply?

Frank

-- Someone (ChimingIn@twocents.cam), December 17, 2002.

I agree with you, Frank, and also with Paul's point above, that liberals and modernists are as much of, if not a greater threat, today than the Communists.

As a young friend of mine once said, when trying to explain the characters in a cartoon show to me: "They're all bad, but they're different kinds of bad!" :-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 17, 2002.

Sorry Christine, I have been getting it pretty good, and have gotten a bit trigger happy. I apologize again. Not to the other two!

Try clicking on BELLA DODD without the quotes. This stuff was going on until St Pius10th, slowed it down. Too bad it picked up again after he died. Sure these Commie priests played the game, until they got their share of bishops in there, then everything broke loose!

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 17, 2002.

Sorry, but as I already explained, Ed, I'm no longer playing this game.

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 17, 2002.

OK Christine, Have a Holy and happy Christmas

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 17, 2002.

Anyone else interested in an eye opener, type in that BELLA DODD in google. The woman gave that testimony befor Congress, in the House Un-American activities committee. This was very serious stuff 40 years ago, and a lot worse today. Where do you think that all those Commie priests went? She said right to the top. I don't claim pope, but a lot of these guys may, and I repeat, may have gotten a vulnerable, trusting guy, and put some of their ideas into his head. Sounds far fetched , but anything is possible. The Holy Ghost guides the pope on doctrine, but to my knowledge, none of the popes since the council has ever said anything ex-cathedra.Any man, even a pope can be conned.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 17, 2002.

Hi, Ed--

Anyone else interested in an eye opener, you ask. No thanks, we've had it with your eye-wash. (Blink.)

-- eugene c. chavez (chavezec@pacbell.net), December 17, 2002.

Didn't get in the first try. so again "Sorry I tried to wake you up. Go back to sleep Eugene. Don't snore too loud, or you may wake some of the others. Pleasant dreams.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 17, 2002.

Well, Ed, if you really think we are going to sit here and let you claim that Pope John Paul II is a Communist, you just keep right on dreaming. I don't care WHAT Bella Dodd, Bella Abzug or the Belle of Tennessee says about it.

-- (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 17, 2002.

Christine--- Do you read what iswritten, or what you think is written? Where did I say the pope was a communist? I said these "Slick Willies", could INFLUENCE, A TRUSTING MAN. If you want to stop learning anymore, fine that's your prerogitive. That's why we get presidents like the former Mr Slick. Intentions are to dumb down this beautiful nation, and sad to say, it seems t be working.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

Ed asks, "Where did I say the Pope was a Communist?"

Granted, you didn't say so, in so many words. That's the beauty of innuendo and slander - you don't have to say the words, you can just say things like:

"Where do you think that all those Commie priests went? She said right to the top."

then when people draw the logical conclusion that you're implying that this means the Pope is a Communist, you can throw your hands in the air and act all innocent and insist that you didn't say anything of the sort.

Almost worthy of Slick Willy himself ...

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

I give up! and I'll spare you the trouble of saying GOOD.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

Thanks - I'll just say "nyuk nyuk"! ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Christine,

You hit the nail on the head! Ed's here *implying* that communists were put in and probably even caused the change to the Novus Ordo, became the Pope, etc. but when you call him on it he is SHOCKED that you could infer such a thing from his words.

Frank

-- Someone (ChimingIn@twocents.cam), December 18, 2002.

Frank, I'm not implying that Communists are in the Church. I'M SAYING IT. with no apologies! The worst I have said about this pope is that, he is a, (pardon the expression), a lousy caretaker. That's my opinion, and thats that!.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

I wondered where the pedophile priest scandal came from. It's a mole problem. Thanks, Ed!

-- eugene c. chavez (chavezec@pacbell.net), December 18, 2002.

YES, there are Communists in the Church. I will happily admit that. There are also Liberals, Modernists, Schismatics, adulterers, fornicators and politicians ...

tax collectors ...

wine bibbers ...

prostitutes ...

(starting to sound familiar ... ain't it??) ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Think you got it right this time, Gene.. Could well be a mole problem. All these "fairies", didn't just show up fro Fairyland.

Not that the fairies are Communists, but these dupes , accomplish the ends of the commies. (no pun intended)

You are probably aware of this, but it doesn't matter. Before Vatican 2, it was a mortal sin to vote for a commie. Not anymore.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

"Commies" ... ?? "fairies" ... ??

Did I accidentally tune in to an episode of "All in the Family" ?? Is it 1973 again? Have I gone Back to the Future (again??) ?? ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Christine, you havent even left your house.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

Really? Then this isn't my office chair I'm sitting in right now? It's really my bathtub??

Boy, I knew this was gonna be a weird day but no one told me it would be THAT weird. ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

ed,

Did the rigid structure of the Tridentine mass help these "commies" and "fairies" achieve their ends? Are you part of the problem ed? Are you trying to get us to all go back to the Tridentine so you can infiltrate more commies into the priesthood? I haven't heard any complaints of commies entering the priesthood since the Novus Ordo was instituted.

Frank

-- Someone (ChimingIn@twocents.cam), December 18, 2002.

Frank, they didn't have to, it was a done deal, You don't go in to rob a bank, that was just cleaned out ten minutes before.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

ed,

YOUR church might be able to be "cleaned out" by a few commies, MINE is guaranteed by Christ to prevail forever. Thanks for making the disntinction clear on where you stand in relation to the church though.

Frank

-- Someone (ChimingIn@twocents.cam), December 18, 2002.

Thank you, Frank!!! :-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Frank,, No commies, no philes, no lawsuits, in my church.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

Wow, a perfect church, huh, Ed? Can't possibly be a Catholic one, then. ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Christine, first this is not viscious on my part. Having a lot of fun doing this. Hope you also! You too, Frank and Gene, What the hell, I'd be watching some stupid game show, if not arguing with you guys.you're all OK.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

I don't know what time zone you're in, Ed, but out here you'd have to watch the soaps - the game shows don't start for another hour or so. Me, I'm holding out for the "Simpsons" reruns at 6:00 pm!!

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Christine, Eastern time zone, New York City. 6pm news coming on. Saw Chistmas show at Radio city, going to see it again.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

Ed, would you believe I'm having dinner with a friend who used to be one of the Rockettes at Radio City!

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

Small world Christine. Those girls are amazing, the precision is fantastic. My mother know one of them years ago. Said how do you do that? She said "We count, count count". The Nativity scene was especially beauiful

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

And my apologies but I think between the two of us, we've pretty much killed this topic!

Well, I'm sure we'll start fresh tomorrow . . . ;-)

-- Christine L. :-) (christine_lehman@hotmail.com), December 18, 2002.

goodnight Christine. Back to the jugular tomorrow.

-- ed Richards (loztra@yahoo.com), December 18, 2002.

Ed,

I read that article the other day by Fr. Stephen Valenta, entitled "Communist Infiltration within the Catholic Church", which your google link points to (without quotes that is), and on that same day I got an email, that Fr. Stephen was giving a talk here in one of the local Churches, so I decided to go and hear what he had to say.

The talk was centered on the Virgin of the Globe medal that was given to Saint Catherine Laboure, who as you may know was also given the medal of the Immaculate Conception, which is largely known as the Miraculous medal. It was an interesting talk, and I bought a few of the Virgin of the Globe medals to give to friends and family.

Fr. Stephen is 79 years old, and I was impressed by his vigor and health for someone at that age.

Dear Christine Lehman, Regarding your note on the above matter regarding infiltration of the seminaries of the Roman Catholic Church. The actual document of Bella Dodd has now been placed in the hands of a newspaper named INA Today, (website www.INAToday.com to get a copy of the newspaper) the contents of which have been reported in Catholic Family News, October 2003. Further, amont witnesses to the event where Bella Dodd made the statement regarding her placement of 1100 seminarians into Catholic seminaries in the 1930's are Mrs. Johnine Leininger and Alice von Hildebrand, among others. There is now enough information to show that the Catholic Church not only was infiltrated, but the priests were "sleepers," a term designating individuals or groups who carry out their espionage function only at a selected time. Before becoming active, the "sleeper" (priest or bishop) as this is how conspiracy works, who will refrain from any subversive functions against the Church until signalled by their leaders. Dodd's infiltrators, those who lost or never actually held the Catholic faith--would have been the mentors of the present generation of apostate Catholic priests and bishops.... See INA Today.
