Hello, I'm from New Delhi, India and own a Kurzweil K2000 VP I would really appreciate it if you could help me with a --hopefully not too big a problem-- A few days I accidentally did a horrible thing by -- spilling some lime juice onto the keyboard. It was a terrible thing that happened and -- I immediately wiped it off all the affected surface parts. The keyboard was off at that time. The next day, I turned the keyboard on -- hoping that whatever had gone inside would have dried by then. I was horrified to find that- one key the G note (above 'middle C') kept sustaining and with full velocity. All --the other keys were OK. So -- I did a hard -re-set. That didn't help. A little later -- two keys--one above the G and one below, stopped sounding altogether. This was disastrous. So -- I called one of the best engineer here and he opened up the instrument and showed me the affected area. This was on a green strip where, beneath small rubber padding were the carbon contacts which -- according to him - had partially gone. After about three hours --he managed to get all the keys working! BUT--- three keys around the affected area (the area where the juice had spilt) play with one velocity. So -- those keys sounds the same -- no matter how they're struck. The engineer asked me to get two parts (the two strips) - the parts being- FATAR 26612800 02.128 6M 310536 And --the other part FATAR 26612810 02.129 6M310535 I would like to know whether the engineer was correct in asking me to procure the above and whether these are available. Please do help me. Being in India -- it's almost impossible to get parts and good engineers. PLEASE help me. Regards, Gussy Rikh Also - gusrikh@yahoo.com
