I have a two and a half year old daughter. I am not sure what will be the right age for her to start vocal lessons.

Hi sudha, I have learn't music and i teach music.I have a two year old son.As i take classe everyday he knows how to sing S R G M P D N S. Best thing you could do is to make her listen lot of songs if you sing teach her the basics while playing.They really love to learning from their parents.Then you can take her to classes once she is 3or 4. bye vindhya

Our 3-1/2 yr old shows lot of inclination by repeating what he hears on tape. But I still believe that he is not going to have the patience to sit and learn in a formal manner and focus/concentrate for more than 5-10 minutes at a time...

So, exposing them and keeping them around music is good input till they begin lessons is my humble opinion...
